This arrangement has a bit of a back story...
I used to sing a choir called Oran with Peter Kent. He was a fantastic human and loved singing in choir. Unfortunately, he passed away at the young age of 39 on January 7th, 2020.
I hadn't seen him in probably about 4 years (since I was last in choir) but a couple nights after finding out about his passing I actually had a dream about Peter. He had asked me to arrange a song for Oran that he used to sing with his dad.
In my dream, I had completed the song and was just about to email it to him when I received an email saying he passed away.
This message was passed to his mom and she said he loved the hymn 'It Is Well With My Soul.' I decided I wanted to arrange this for his funeral and we had over 50 members of Oran come and sing it for him.
We miss you Peter.
